To create the perfect backdrop to The Stage, event organizers can choose from three different settings — an open view of the atrium, a translucent shade for spectacular lighting effects, or a blackout shade for complete privacy.

Wired for live television, radio and internet broadcasts and equipped with the latest digital projection, lighting and audio systems, The Stage offers state-of-the-art technology to ensure your event remains fully connected. The Stage comes complete with an expansive production booth, a flexible greenroom/production office/dressing room suite, and is always rented with The Gallery for registration and receptions.

The rear wall of The Stage has three views: glass, revealing the building’s interior garden, a blackout shade and a translucent shade for a transparent lighting effect.

The Stage features state-of-the-art audio, video and theatrical lighting systems to meet the needs of almost every event, including:

  • A wireless sound package designed to handle both large and small meetings and performances.
  • A video system featuring dual projection, a drop-down 12'x24' projection screen and HD switching for multisource presentations and video playback.
  • Street-to-stage fiber and coax wire feeds for television and radio satellite production.
  • High-speed wired and wireless internet capabilities for webcasting and distance-learning events.

Rental of The Stage includes access to our full-service greenroom suite comprised of an 8'x10' dressing room, one 8’x10’ work room, private restroom and an 11'9" x 18'4" lounge located adjacent to stage left. The space is A.D.A. compliant and amenities include lounge seating for 12, wet bar kitchenette, magnetic/dry-erase surface walls, two video monitors with audio and video playback from the stage, program countdown clock, charging ports and phone lines.

A dramatic double stairwell leads guests to The Hall on the venue’s lower lobby. The Hall’s lobby offers soaring views of TheTimesCenter from below and is ideal for event receptions, registration or pre-event functions. Once guests come through the lower lobby, they enter into The Hall, a sprawling 5,000-square-foot space that boasts high ceilings, a wireless audio system, wall-mounted plasma TVs and drop-down projection screens and a discrete event lighting system perfect for panels, product displays or food stations. With the flip of a switch, The Hall can easily act as a simulcasting space for content from The Stage, allowing event planners to expand their attendance numbers. The Hall also includes a large caterer’s staging kitchen, making the space ideal for sit-down banquets of 390 or receptions that can accommodate as many as 500.

As a flexible “blank palette” space, The Hall can be furnished and decorated to reflect your event needs or ambience. Catering is also available from a select list of approved companies to help you meet the needs of even the most discerning palates.

The Hall is located in TheTimesCenter directly below TheTimesCenter stage and offers an open-plan, flexible interior that can be furnished and decorated to meet your needs.

  • The Hall includes an outer lobby with a dramatic view of the upper level of TheTimesCenter. The lobby can be used for receptions, registration or pre-event functions.
  • The 5,000-square-foot room accommodates 390 seated at rounds and up to 500 for receptions.
  • The Hall features a wireless audio system with flush-mounted speakers in the architecturally designed 12' ceilings. The Hall’s video playback includes four wall-mounted 70" HD plasma screens and a ceiling-mounted, drop-down projection screen measuring 7.5'x10'.

Audio
The audio system for screening films at TheTimesCenter is flexible in that it can be configured in a variety of ways depending on the scope and nature of the event. For a screening with talk-back, the main L/C/R speakers can be placed on the deck behind our perforated screen. In this configuration, any microphones required on stage will send solely to the surround speakers. Alternatively, if the screening event includes a musical performance, the PA can remain flown in the grid to accommodate the audio needs of both the performance and the film.
